Peru Update IIIHello Friends & Family, As the second leg of this journey comes to a close, the completion of many projects can be seen. The team has successfully built a BMX track, moved a gazebo, set the ground work for a new playground set, and nearly finished restoring a deck. The hardwork has paid off with much weight being taken off the shoulders of the contacts. A highlight of the time has been teaching devotions and playing games with a group of kids who attend Mission Tec's programs. Our students were able to go on home visits of the kids and further explore the culture and community.
:: Peru Update IIHello Friends & Family!
Thank you all for your prayers covering [ca]dre on this trip. The teams are doing well and God is really moving.
The Pisco [Dan Walz + Monica Kleier] team has had many opportunities to do dramas and attend church services. Loving and serving the church community has been a blessing for this team. Their main project has been repainting The Refuge Church where they are staying. The church has just moved into this new building and our team was able to be a part of the very first service in it.
The Lima [Dave Miller + Katie Kersenbrock] team has had an incredible time with the children at the orphanage. They have even taught them one of the dramas! After a long weekend the kids are headed back to school and the team has the opportunity to serve the orphange through many different work projects: staining a building, planting grass, and painting a basketball court. They've done one street performance where the team had a great time evangelizing and sharing the love of Jesus with people.
The Negritos [ZuZu Ford + August Ortiz] team traveled to their location on the coast to find themselves staying at a school. They are enjoying time with all of the children. They've cleaned up the school yard, played many soccer games with kids (one at a colliseum), and done a couple street performances. They have been invited to perform dramas in the colliseum on Wednesday during a soccer game! This has the potential to draw a very large crowd -you can join us in praying for the success of this.
Overall, the teams are doing great! Please continue to pray for servants hearts, hearts to encourage those around them, and a passion to reach the lost.
At the bottom of this post there is a link to a file with the list of teams and a map of Peru so you can identify where your student is.

Peru Update I
Hello Friends & Family,
The [ca]dre team has arrived safely in Florida! They’ve had a day to rest and regroup, and are continued on to Miami this morning. The first flight is out at 5:30pm, and is approximately five hours. We will fly into Lima, Peru.
From here the teams will divide up into four different locations.
The teams will come back together in Lima at the end of this time, and then travel to Pucallpa together. Throughout the week, the group will work with children in small groups, and building projects for an organization focused on outreach for underprivileged kids. There will also be a few opportunities for evangelism and preaching as well.
The trip will conclude with a couple days all together in Lima before flying back to Miami the 17th of May. The team will then drive back to Arkansas. We will wait to release their expected arrival time in Little Rock / Conway until the plane’s arrival is secured on time.
As was the case in Nicaragua, because of the schedule our team will keep and the remote areas they'll travel too, communication may not be often. I will be sending updates via email throughout their trip as I receive information. [You can expect to receive about 3 emails.] As guideline we support a 'No News is Good News' policy. Meaning if something unexpected were to happen, we assure you we would use the proper means to communicate. Accordingly, if you don't receive an email or phone call, it does not mean something is awry.
Thank you all so much for your prayers covering this trip. Please continue to pray for safety, divine appointments, and humble, servant hearts! While the team is away if you have any emergency or need to contact a student, please call or email me [Codi Bennett], my information is below. I will in turn be able to contact James to have the student connect back with you.
Don't forget to check our website [iamcadre.com], facebook [facebook.com/cadreacademy] and follow us on twitter [twitter.com/cadreacademy] for updates directly from the team. If you know someone that would like to be added to this email list, please reply with their information.
